Rock Garden plants
as suggested by Wes Brittenham and others

Hundreds of species of plants can be found around the world that are suitable for growing in rock gardens. There are many of these that are native to our climate.  Dry. rocky fast draining slopes that have the alkaline soil of the Rocky mountains supply many of these species. See this list Natives for Ground Covers also Native wildflowers.

For many of these species go to Click here: High Country Gardens - Product Display
The first link at the bottom of this page will have pictures of the starred genera and/or species. The second link is here to help you with researching the various species. Click on the small pictures to view a full size picture. Most of these pictures are taken of some of my own plants in my garden.
